Our class skyped another fifth grade class with the purpose of guessing mystery numbers.  The classes took turns asking and answering questions.  "Is the number odd?", "Is the tens place divisible by 3?" , "Is it  a prime number?", etc. Lots of fun and practice using higher level thinking skills at the same time.  We are hoping to do it again soon, but this time it will be a mystery location.Screen Shot 2016-01-30 at 9.47.23 PMScreen Shot 2016-01-30 at 9.47.54 PM

Each student had a specific job to keep the process running quickly and smoothly.  There were: questioners, clue keepers, google mappers, researchers, photographers, videographers, bloggers, etc.

Our final destination:  Stanford, California!

We were so excited to receive handmade Christmas ornaments from our epals.  These will be cherished for years to come!  But the sad part was saying goodbye to our friends.  While we are getting ready for a 2 week Christmas vacation, they are getting ready for their summer vacation.  We skyped on their last day of school.  It was Friday morning at 8:30 for them, but Thursday afternoon at 2:30 for us!  What fun we had exchanging songs, personally speaking to individual epals, and ending with a chorus of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas!"  These will be lifelong memories!
