Students culminated a biography unit by presenting monologues including interesting lifetime events, obstacles that had to be overcome, people who helped in their lifetime journey, changes that occurred throughout life, and contributions to society.

Court Is in Session
Dongell's Bremen Court was in session on Friday. Five interesting cases were presented, and verdicts were announced after careful deliberation. Decisions came down to missing keys, muddy feet, scribbly handwriting, etc. Unanimous decisions sealed the fate of each victim.
Mystery Number Skype
Our class skyped another fifth grade class with the purpose of guessing mystery numbers. The classes took turns asking and answering questions. "Is the number odd?", "Is the tens place divisible by 3?" , "Is it a prime number?", etc. Lots of fun and practice using higher level thinking skills at the same time. We are hoping to do it again soon, but this time it will be a mystery location.
Teamwork
Ms LeCount, our guidance counselor, led our class in spinning a web. Each team member was vital to the success of the project. One weak link could destroy the entire project.
